The rail component of the Perth City Link project involved lowering the Fremantle rail line between William Street and Lake Street to align with the new underground Wellington Street bus station.
It also included reconfiguring the Perth railway station platforms and providing surface connections between the Perth surface and underground stations.
NRP Electrical Services were engaged to provide the mechanical electrical switchboards and electrical installation associated with ventilation of both passenger train tunnels and pedestrian tunnel access to the underground platforms.
The project involved tight timeframes in challenging conditions with long cable runs, an underground artificially lit tunnel environment and much of the works at height.
